Ikoma and mumei are both lively and expressive, ikoma is a hard working badass who puts his frustrations to work, and his goal is to become a person he can be proud of.
He's noble with clear motivations and ambitions, also he has a belieable friendship with his buddy.
Unlike eren and armin, in which i don't even think i've seen the two of them carry a normal conversation with one another. In fact all the character interactions in AOt are pretty stagnate.
Mumei > Mikasa no disscusion, yes both have a thing for their brother but at least mumei has some personality to her and takes interest in other characters that aren't her brother.
And she's cuter.
Plus trains.
Plus the zombies actually have intelligence and emotions.

The most depressing part of Welcome to the NHK was the afterword about the author being a broke NEET again, Satou pretty much realized that life sucks but he might as well keep on living so that's not a sad ending
I like both.
I feel like Im going to get more out of the characters in habanero than SnK.
However, I found SnK more suspenseful and exciting, really wanted to figure out what the titans are. However SnK is getting really dragged out, and overstaying its welcome. I imagine this wont happen with habanero.

Shingeki is good at creating tension and drama with it's OST and overall premise, even if the story becomes more absurd as episodes go on, not to mention the terrible pacing.
On the other hand, Kabaneri has a better story and characters, but it falls apart when they want to be edgy and dramatic with that unfiting Sawano soundtrack. It kinda reminds me of Parasyte and it's dubstep OST in that aspect.
