Just finished Nagi no Asukara for the first time! That was pretty good. Nice themes and setting. One of the more unique animes I've seen.

MIUNA

I think they really dropped the ball with the ending, the Sea God was fucking retarded, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and watching it with /a/ was a lot of fun (once the NTR shitposters left).
>>

I think Sea God being retarded was the point of the show. The primary Aesop is that relationships have both good and bad times. here no such thing as a relationship that doesn't give some kind of hardship. Escaping the hardships of relationships so you don't get hurt leaves you in stasis(major theme of the show).

When the sea God relinquished his emotions so he would not feel the pain, he was in a lull. No Sadness and no happiness and no growth.

This is shown figuratively with Chisaki and literally with Manaka lost emotion to love.

Shame this will go down in history as the magnum opus of anime
>>
>>138380687
I still think it's a really solid show. A lot of people overlook it.
>>
Beuatiful setting yes.. story wise..mehhh
>>
>MC picked his retarded childhood friend rather than a loyal loli who waited for him for years

The ending was the only bad aspect of this show

The retarded childhood friend was the only good thing about the show.

Imagine a Mushishi crossover

Some of the best visual direction and fantastic music as well. The story is a bit dodgy though.

Good morning Miuna, please protect my smile today.

Thinking about NnA makes my head hurt, even though I enjoyed it when it aired. The melodrama, the weightless animation, I don't know why but it gives me a headache just remembering.

I love these awkward poses. It reminds me of being a child who is autistic, not yet knowing what you're supposed to do when someone points a camera at you expectantly.

A shame that once you've seen this. You might as-well just go blind.

Why? The 1080p rip is proven to be better quality around the edges. Also this is what 720p is like
>>
>>138390197
Does PA Works actually produce anything at 1080p? I normally see 720p listen on anibin.
>>
>>138390405
NnA looks better at 1080p, whether it's 900p or 792p+ it's still >720p
I can't show the differences because they tend to go above the image size limit.

The atmosphere that the second half gave off was so great, definitely something I won't forget. Also Manaka best girl.
