Okay, I got, how to do spoilers, so here we goGhost got too edgy and decided to take moons by itself, but failed and saving her Phos lost her head. Later Ghost asked to gave her Lapis head instead, but Sensei was against at first, but lately agreed. There was a pretty low chance that iclusia (oh whatever it's rightly written in english) will accept new head. But She lays in coma for 300 years now. And Ghost is new Winter guard now.

Damn. Im between wanting it to be Phos with a new, cuter head and some important Lapis memories or Lapis because new mc. But i think it should be Phos. Memories are stored in the entire body, so just changing the head shouldnt change the gem.
By the way, im also really interested in any of them going to where the Moon People live. But thats probably a suicide mission.

Well, the thing is that memories are in the entire body, but if you remember there is lef soo little of Phos body. Like he lost her legs and metal took wery much place of her body. It was said there are less than a half of Phos. So i really not sure who will wake up. But i'm still cheering for Phos. Like, Lapis is fine but not instead of Phos. And i don't wont to see Cinnabar's reaction.

We do know that the gems whole body stores their memories. And that a significant portion can be removed while still retaining the personality. But we haven't seen a headless gem that was animate which leads me to believe that the head ultimately houses the ego. SoI think that lapis will be the dominant personality with Pho's memories as a reference point.

Maybe ego is a poor word for what I am thinking. But I would speculate that some of the main components to a gems identity are stored in the head. Similar to how that one gem ws missing a "heart" (really large portions of their torso) and was therefore inactive. Without a head the body can't function.
