There are browser extensions that add basic functions like downloading sets all at once, managing history, and saving pixiv videos as gifs.
And the batch downloader I use lets you exclude tags and will download tons of shit at once. But unfortunately it's really hard to use.
I'm sure there's more that I haven't looked into though, at least it isn't as impossible as twitter.
