I don't like webtoon shit but there's this Korean magazine called Quang Comics that is all about artsy and experimental comics, I don't know much about it other than it has a very talented artist I stumbled upon on Instagram by the name of plato_q (I'm sure it has more great ones though).
Now I'm sure the amount of Korean translators is minimal and those interested in anything not webtoon or not popular even less, but still, I lose nothing by bringing attention to these small comics that maybe someone else might be interested in them as well and hopefully someday one might get scanlated.

Sending a picture to your computer via beams of light is a far from a perfect process. The image gets warped, recolored, damaged and resized. Filters are the only way to correct those imperfections.

The trim function is surprisingly good as long as you have things straight. Create (record then save) an action that straightens usin the ruler tool, then trims. Run it on you raws as a batch. You'll have to do some minor corrections but 99% of the most tedious work is done then.

Finding the required functions in the javascript is the only way to write a standalone tool. Paste the code into JS beautifier to make it readable. You also need to locate the descrambling data that itself might be encrypted or encoded (jump plus is an example, it uses the BID as a decryption key), it's usually obtained with a separate HTTP request. Once you locate the descrambling function it's all a matter of rewriting it to the target language, you don't need to understand it at all, just paste it to your IDE and try to adapt it. Or you can go the nwjs way and just paste the code as it is, it should work with minor tweaks.
The lazy approach is to locate the image canvas and save it to disk every time it's rendered, but that confines you to the browser and you need to know Javascript. You can also try to experiment with PhantomJS in that case.

Yeah, I do remember spending a bit of time making corrections, but still thinking that it saved me a ton of time overall by only having to rotate one degree or crop one edge here or there every few pages. I loved playing with actions to automate my cleaning process. The scans I was working with were great quality too and only needed the same minor adjustments for leveling on every page too. That way I got to have more fun erasing and redrawing stuff.
