I love comedies and I laugh easily when watching comedies but Handa-Kun just isn't funny at all. Also the animation is garbage.

People fail to realize that the reason Handa acts like he does in barakamon is BECAUSE of what happens in the show. he became himself because of the island. also he is much more mature as its years later. Handa was who he was in Handa-kun before the island.

I think her parents might still alive, not sure what they're doing though. In the scanlated chapters that go ahead of where the anime stopped Handa mulls over what her family situation is a couple times but backs off about it each time, the story is dancing around the issue too much for it to not be something strange/unexpected I think.

I'm gonna assume the manga is better given that I've seen it have fans on here. I just didn't find the first episode all that funny or entertaining. I did go into it knowing that it'd be nothing like Barakamon and I was fine with that, so that's not what it was either.
