not him but I read Kingdom a long time ago up until the end of the coalition arc.
I remember their being a general who buried a whole city alive and didn't fight battles he couldn't win yet was praised as a badass? Meanwhile Shin and co. found it distasteful to rape women after capturing a city which is basically what all conquering forces did.
