Sometimes I think which would be better. If Alicia marrying someone was inevitable would it be better if you at least see the character she marries or have it be someone you got to know over the course of the series.

It never says who she marries at all. Well unless it does in the new OVA which I haven't watched yet. Nothing saying she can't marry a woman. It's the future after all. I'll also accept Akatsuki's brother as a marriage partner for Alicia though.
