Well AMOLED has way better contrast and black but w/e. Anyway what matters is that casuals don't really see the difference and just buy this shit based off specs or crowd mentality (don't get me started on the phones with higher resolution than FullHD).
I just bought a 100 bucks china phone and it has everything a newest iphone has (maybe sans useless fancy shit like fingerprint scanner) and I don't really see any difference in speed or display when I compare it with my mother's iphone (not to mention android OS and removable battery and SD card slot).
To be honest I guess iphone isn't terrible if you don't care about wasting money (though I couldn't use it, because some obscure software I really need is only available on Android).
