"Boring" is a state of mind, an inherent emotional response requiring absolutely no cognitive thought or critique. It's utterly subjective and not reflective of a show whatsoever, more so reflective of yourself. Using that as the sole critique against a show is only a critique against your own shit taste and lack of cognitive rational thought and inability to utilize objective critique.
Secondly, even if a show can be said to be more "boring" than another, more lacklustre and uneventful, using that critique against it is still baseless, as it implies all good shows and only good shows are ones that are the opposite - not boring. This is false, as it suggests a show (and even art as a whole) has to pander to your every taste and whim to be considered "good" or worthwhile, when really a show has no obligation to do so. And so goes back to "boring" being a fault of one's own, as it means one isn't able to separate baseless subjectivity and inherent emotional response from valid objective critique.

Season 2 was the best season. Which most people agree. And Yamada had the most attention in season 2 tied with Popura.

Personally, I'm more bored by your typical shounen action show than I am by slice-of-life shows. Does that mean shounen action is boring? To me it is, but clearly not to the many people who like it. Likewise, there are those who are bored by slice-of-life shows, and those who like them. Just about everything about entertainment is subjective.

That's a situation comedy. I will admit there are similarities between the two genres, but the difference comes down mostly to the focus on comedy and how sitcoms tend to come up with more contrived circumstances and storylines while slice of life focuses on comedy in more mundane circumstances.

Such as how most anime shows are not set in one genre. And have their origins in western genres. Case in point, Slice of Life. Which was based on a myriad of shows in the 1950s and 60s American TV.
Another good example of genre mixing is Sailor Moon. Which is part Sentai, part Mahou Shoujo and overwhelmingly Slice of Life. Yet people overlook the slice of life aspect of the show, despite it being over 3/4 the show.
Anyway, all this argument is pointless. Let's just admit that Working did slice of life correctly (as did Sailor Moon). And you're right that the west has sucked at it for decades.

Little girls in Japan were watching Bewitched because it had a female character using magic, so an enterprising anime studio made Mahoutsukai Sally, basically a kid's cartoon where the main character is a girl who uses magic.
