I just want these two to meet because they think of the exact opposite of how talent works. Nagito thinks that people are born with either talent or no talent and that only talented people are worthy and there is no way to change it. Meanwhile Ishimaru believes that there is no such thing as talent, and that as long as you set your mind to it you can accomplish anything you want with effort. He thinks of himself as just an ordinary person, and that anyone has the ability to succeed just as much as any genius.
Would Ishimaru have been able to convince Hajime to not go with the Izuru procedure? Would be interesting for Hajime to reflect on their discussion too, considering how much the idea of talent bothers him so much.

In my mind, the closest Junko gets to 'real' despair, the one you me and everybody else in DR other than her can feel, is at the end of SDR2. You know, when Hajime refuses to play the Hope/Despair game and she's legitimately angry that this bullshit that shouldn't be possible is happening. That's the most interesting Junko moment in the series for me because it's the one time she comes off as even remotely human. Go watch that end, I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna link it. She just kinda bitterly remarks that finally her cycle of despair can end.
To be completely honest, I still don't 100% understand why she reacts like this. Every interaction with her up to that point, you'd think she'd be happy as fuck to be defeated like that. Those are just excuses. Ishimaru came from literally nothing and everything against him. His family was ostracized because of his grandfather's debt, so everybody believed that all Ishimaru's were worthless. He came from a lower class family, so he had no luxuries to try and get better.
