The Kodomo no Jikan manga is probably the closest thing out there. The anime really loses out on the sol aspects that serve to normalise Kokonoe's relationship in the eyes of the reader, she comes across more as a raw, unrelenting pervert in the anime. (Not that either medium is lacking in fanservice.)

Zero gets pretty infuriating in the later seasons in regards to harem. The harem antics don't stop when there long past there due and it gets quite painful to watch at times.
That being said you get a good and definitive anime ending.I still have very mild hopes for some form of ova with Louise in the modern world as hinted at in the final ed.

The problem most people have with ZnT is that they always stop early or only watch the first season.
Louise does develop plenty and the story isn't too bad. But everyone always gets annoyed at Louise's tsun instead of actually empathizing with her and realising Saito was the cause. Hes a cheating faggot who never stops. Fuck him, Louise a best.
