Lucky Star sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. I wouldn't consider it the best Anime (that reward belongs to LoGH) but it's a great show. I think it the only anime that depict MMO correctly without any waifu bullshit and there some humor here and there.
However, is it wrong for me to think the cheerleading part in the end doesn't fit well with the anime? Sure it a good OP, but it just doesn't suit the characters after you get to know them for so many episodes.

I saw Imaishi Hiroyuki at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday.
