The fact that so many anons still name Lucky Star as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" SOL show ever only tells you how far SOL/CGDCT anime still is from becoming a serious genre. Mecha critics have long recognized that the greatest mecha shows of all times are EVA and TTGL, which were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Shonen critics rank the highly controversial Jojo's Bizarre Adventure over shonen works which were highly popular in circles around Japan. SOL critics are still blinded by moe success. Lucky Star sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Mecha critics grow up watching a lot of mecha shows of the past, shonen critics grow up watching a lot of shonen shows of the past. SOL critics are often totally ignorant of the SOL of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Lucky Star did anything worthy of being saved.

SOL isn't a real genre and a shit way to describe a show.
Its just the buzzword chosen by weeaboo anime otaku to mean anything mundane.
Lucky star is a comedy.
Every other show people claim to be SOL can easily be placed under an actual genre that does a much better job at describing a show then SOL.

>The fact that so many anons still name Lucky Star as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" SOL show ever
Literally no one says this. K-On was the influential one and mega hit. The fact that some shows are still trying to copy it (and fail) demonstrates how difficult it actually is to make a successful SoL show. Lucky Star was just "us otaku amirite".

I wouldn't consider it the best Anime (that reward belongs to LoGH) but it's a great show. I think it the only anime that depict MMO correctly without any waifu bullshit and there some humor here and there.

However, is it wrong for me to think the cheerleading part in the end doesn't fit well with the anime? Sure it a good OP, but it just doesn't suit the characters after you get to know them for so many episodes.
>>
>>144152759
And that is where you fail, my little shitposter.

It was e. e. cummings, the poet, who said he'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance. I imagine cummings would not have enjoyed Lucky Star, in which stars dance but birds do not sing. The fascinating thing about this anime is that it fails on the human level but succeeds magnificently on a cosmic scale.

It does not hook its effects on specific plot points, nor does it ask us to identify with Konata or any other character. It says to us: We became men when we learned to think. Our minds have given us the tools to understand where we live and who we are. Now it is time to move on to the next step, to know that we live not on a planet but among the stars, and that we are not flesh but intelligence. It's genius.

The fact that so many books still name the Beatles "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success: the Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worth of being saved.

The writing and is particularly awful in the middle of the series, and the logic behind some of the strategies are absolute nonsense and kill any suspension of disbelief. It's wildly overrated.

Almost no anime has perfect writing or logic , logh's middle part is actuaaly good. Yang showing how genius he was and how he btfoed reinhard was entertaing to watch , the civil wars in the alliance land and in the empire were fun too

Lucky Star was mostly forgotten after 2009 or 2010.

Sometimes I don't know if my opinions are my own or ones derived from the meta. For example, I used to post about Hyouka alot, but people kept saying mean things so I stopped posting it. Now I don't like it as much. It would be simple to say the meta affected me, yet may it not also be the other way around? By posting Hyouka so much I created the anti-Hyouka meta at the time. I think now that the effect of myself pales in comparison to my effect on the meta. Since that time I have been fascinated with memes, meta and psychology..I have been working tirelessly to affect the meta in such a way to have my own opinions more represented. The only thing I worry about, still, is that my opinions are themselves the product of meta.

i want to be Rei Ayanami's little baby tampon boy. i want to turn into a little crying baby and then suck on her breasts. her magic breast milk would turn me into a little baby tampon boy. she would stick me up her hoo-hoo and i would wait with anticipation spouting little baby goo-goo ga-gas waiting for her to bleed all over me. i want to feel her Rei Ayanami blood inside my little goo-goo ga-ga baby tampon body. i want to absorb her hoo-hoo juies inside my little baby tampon boy body and goo-goo ga-ga like a little rolly-polly baby boy. it would be orgasmic to know i am one with her hoo-hoo Rei Ayanami blood and i would giggle and goo-goo ga-ga and yelp with little baby boy excitement as i roll around in her Rei Ayanami hoo-hoo and revel in her red juices, slurping them into my soft little baby tampon boy goo-goo ga-ga body. then i want her to pull me out and squeeze and wring my little baby tampon boy body so that her Rei Ayanami hoo-hoo blood and juices spill all over her Rei Ayanami face. it would hurt and i would scream in pained goo-goo ga-gas as pain envelops my little baby tampon boy body until i reach full climax and turn back into grown human man.

I saw Imaishi Hiroyuki at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?" I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw Imaishi trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
