It was honestly great. You can definitely tell the source is written by ONE, it has the same sense of humor, but the atmosphere/feel of this one is totally different from One Punch Man.

Fantastic adaptation. Animation is great and matches the style and tone of the manga. Direction is solid. Sakurai is perfect for Reigen. I'll probably enjoy this more than the OPM adaptation. One's style is a lot more appealing in an animated form

Visually its been done before.
With many animes there are numerous artstyles.
Many studios have used creative artstyles which convey a much more audience friendly version.
I will admit there are too many generic shit shows pushed out each year to meet the quota that usually only look nice but key points in the animation turn into a mess.kyoani
However
Bones kept ones artstlye and went further to push more creations and creativity into each scene while including more detail.
None of this is new because we get these types of animes every few years, /a/ runs into turmoil, riots break out, everyone dies but people who truly enjoyed it.
I will give it the merits it deserves where it takes bold choices here and there. Its not a game changer but its definitely a contender for AOTS.

That's actually the relationship that Mob has with a lot of characters in the series. They're just using him at first (like Reigan or Dimple) but over time they slowly start to be nicer and actually begin caring about him, seeing him as less a tool and more a friend.

What I really like about ONE is how amazingly humble he is.
In the interviews you can tell how completely stunned he is that he's a really popular mangaka with tons of fans. When he gets asked about his overseas fans, he still can't believe it and it's almost like he thinks there's a huge prank being played on him.
He also pushes his assistants really hard (way harder than any other mangaka pushes their assistants) as well as Murata since he understands without them he'd really not be anywhere.
