Welp, maybe the first episode was a fluke. This episode was worse than the first in every single aspect. Next one looks fun though.

Yes, but only because the bar is that low. This episode wasn't really good, but the second B-project episode was even worse.
There's a lot of quality though. You know you have a problem when the CG performances are the best looking thing about your show.
What did they do to make the CGI faces so not-eye-cancerous compared to most CG idolshit?

Hire competent CG studio. A lot of bad CG is done in-house.
Why did they hire so shitty character designer? They are so cute in original art.

They are cuter in the show when they aren't off-model. Unfortunately that doesn't happen a lot.
