If you have a lot of time to kill and are more comfortable with politics and human nature than pulse-pounding action, then yes, it is very much worth watching. It's *still* one of the best shows out there.

Of all the anime I've ever watched this one is least pretentious (its not at all), and they all have actual reason for what theyre doing, the battles have been put thought into, there is no single mary sue who makes hollow speeches on how he's going to save everyone and talk down the villain with everyone fawning over him, and the philosophy is also well thought out.
