If by Saku you mean Sakura I can tell you for certain that her losing would not have had nearly the impact as Kosaki losing. Naruto is simply a much more popular series so the vocal minority has a much larger population relative to Nisekoi's.
Sakura was a disappointing character throughout the series. Expecting her to win was at best a last ditch effort to improve her story arc but it was never going to fix the damage Kishi had already done.
Kosaki on the other hand is a very sweet girl who's easily likable. If I was rooting for her I'd be quite upset right now.
