its mostly the same, some would argue the pacing is slower in season 1, but overall its very fun as anime. cool thing is the end of anime adds just one more moment, which was a big complaint about manga missing at least 1 more chapter to feel fully completed.

But I can see why you'd like them. Those are also my favorites in most cases with their respective authors. They are usually their later ones and from what I've seen with most experimental animators, the later the better.
