It's way more Japanese than SZS, if you can imagine such a thing. If you managed to follow along with the references in SZS you should be fine, though.

It was also discussed in the old threads. It's not necessarily another countdown, at least, not until two years before the next laughter. The "I forgots" means you don't think about most of your highschool classmates for most of the time after you graduate, but by the time the 20 year reunion rolls around you've developed an immunity and remember them!
Americans are affected with the "I forgots" when it comes down to watching regular season soccer games, but all of those cases lets them build up an immunity so they aren't affected when it comes to watching the World Cup!
Many people forget about politics most of the time, but their cases of "I forgots" during off years allow them to have an immunity when it comes time for an election year!
The smaller "I forgots" allow you to build up an immunity so that you'll remember plans that are a long time apart!
