Yep, huge improvement. Pacing was better, camera had a much better view of action, battle music was still jarringly out of place, the clasically animated scenes were good, and the CGI was better animated.
Still wasn't great tho. Just better.

I noticed a bunch of well done CG this episode.
Not the fight at the beginning, but the fight with Anzn on was pretty good.
Music and pacing is better as well.

The plot didn't jump around as much but they need to stop with the Band of the Hawk flashbacks. If you've read the manga, watched the '97 anime and/or the CGI movies then you already know Guts' origin story. People were excited for this because it went beyond the Golden Age arc. And if this is your first take on Berserk you'd still be confused as hell.
