Fairy Tail's killed plenty of enemies. For example, most of Tartaros is dead, with their only chance of "survival" being Mirajane using take over on them as they lay dying. Azuma and Zoldeo died at Fairy Tail's hands. Ikaruga is dead, either at Erza's hands directly, or when the tower was destroyed. The other two members of Trinity Raven likely died when the tower was destroyed as well. Fairy Tail's likely killed a bunch of fodder this arc as well, between shooting down airships, and Natsu taking out nearly 1000 fodder with a roar.
The problem is they don't make a point of killing their enemies if they survive the battle. So defeated foes are taken prisoner, not finished off.

A pierced heart can be healed by Brandish but the attack of August made a hole means he burned or disintegrated tissues. Pierced wounds means tissues are only separated form their bonds so Brandish can heal that type of wound. But a burned or disintegrated tissue cannot be healed so easily because it needs to regrow. Despite Brandish size manipulation, it just can't fix Mira's wound immediately. Because it will only result to her heart being shrink-ed also and without the proper tissue replacement, it will collapse in itself.

Can someone tell me why Quality changed so badly in S2 of Fairy Tail? S1 wasn't amazing but I did liked it a lot with design of characters and animation. However what they did in S2 made me reconsider to not watch it at all, because of the "quality" of the whole series.
