>see shit people on /a/ hyping up sweetness and lightning
>see the artwork and check out the premise
>watch first ep expecting cute feelies like usagi drop
>all they do is talk about food
The manga is exactly like that, which is why I didn't even bother picking up the anime.
I fucking hate cooking manga.
Who are you quoting?
Shut up with your shitposting, Mugi.

Here's the premise:
Kouhei Inuzuka is a teacher who has been caring for his little daughter on his own since his wife's death. He's no good at cooking, so he and his daughter Tsumugi have been eating packaged meals from the convenience store. A series of events lead him one evening to a restaurant run by the mother of one of his students, Kotori. Her mother isn't there, but Kotori does her best to feed them both. It turns out Kotori is often alone since her parents are divorced and her mother is frequently not around. The three of them begin to meet and cook tasty food together.
>all they do is talk about food
Why are you surprised?

I thought the food would be secondary to the actual father daughter shit. Why am I so wrong all the time?
K-On! is special, is about five unrelated girls (save for Ricchan and Mio) who become best friends and create a beautiful bond among them.
The jewel of K-On! is seeing how genuinely their friendship grows with each episode.
I personally saw a show about a father who had to cope with becoming a single parent, the death of his wife and also care about his little daughter's health and their relationship.
I watched the live action bunny drop after getting mehsippointed by asaama
They forced in random drama where the kids get lost that wasn't in the anime (or manga I assume) but I skipped that and went straight to the resolution
Pretty good adaptation besides that 10/10

>live action bunny drop

Let's count the reference to food in that premise.
>cooking
>eating
>packaged meals
>restaurant
>feed
>cook
>tasty food
Check Usagi drop's synopsis and count the references to childcare/raising a child. You'll find that it's a lot too. (and there's no mention of cooking)
So just read the thing instead of expecting whatever you want the show to be.

he's talking about another show you retard
