Trust me anon, my uncle was working at the same company ever since he graduated highschool, eventually made good money after 10 years, then the recession hit and he got laid off. Couldn't find a job, because a highscool diploma is basically meaningless these days. Had to swallow his pride and took up two close to minimum wage jobs just to stay afloat. Saved up enough to go to trade school, and decided to be a plumber. Now he lives an okay life way more job security than he did before.
You have no idea how the economy is going to shift, anon. Your job can be taken from you at any moment.
