The things I hated are what most people love though- it's visually overstimulating (the manga scenes gave me motion sickness), the characters and humour are obnoxiously lolsorandum, and both the OST and most of the VAs were pure, grating noise. Disliking the OST is probably the most unpopular opinion, I like the actual songs but non stop rock for an entire series is like a relentless aural assault.
I can see the merit in the direction but it was the complete opposite of my taste and the whole thing just gave me a headache.
