I like it because of the nostalgic feelings it brings me, but after rewatching it this year and being kind of disappointed I can say I probably prefer Brotherhood overall.

03 was better all the characters actually had character and had better direction makes for a more enjoyable viewing experience

I like 03 better personally since it did a lot of things better like atmosphere and tone consistency, but Brotherhood probably has overall better animation and a less ridiculous plot toward the end. You can skip Brotherhood episodes til around the new Greed shows up I think? Anyway personally I wouldn't watch it back to back because that's like 120 episodes of FMA.

Just watch it all, one of the problems with brotherhood is that it rushes the parts it's shares with the original,which is good for people who watched the first,but bad for those who haven't.
