My heart, she's too cool.
On top of simply being a good episode that fleshed out Mahiru and her family, and also looked and felt amazingly animated and directed (possibly because the same person did both episode direction and storyboards), I liked it for the unique way they showed the main trio's interactions with Mahiru. How Yume tried to be friendly right away but was [rightfully] rejected because Mahiru didn't know her, yet Koharu had the most information because they're in the same class. And further, the contrast between how Yume pushes really hard to get to know Mahiru whereas Koharu is happy with observing. This isn't some producer nonsense, it shows variety in the characters that I appreciate. And then Laura basically just follows Yume around until she gets her chance to get turned on.
It's good that Yozora is focusing on Mahiru and Koharu. Yume's already getting help from Hime, Yuzu, and Tsubasa, so this adds balance.
The familial rivalry reminds me a bit of Juri and her mother, but they were too far apart. This puts Yozora just barely within reach of Mahiru. And Asahi actually got a nice little scene too. Coming off of last episode with Nozomu seeing Subaru look jealous, we have Asahi talk about how Subaru is always talking about Yume to them. It's this slow buildup that really expresses the strengths of a long form show.
We're halfway to the S4 Auditions (?), unless Hime was just chosen early because she's so amazing and the real auditions are in winter or something. Let's see how everything goes.

I don't know if I'd call her one of the most interesting but she definitely has potential if they used more time on the acting side. She's apparently a really good actor but spent her last two episodes with everyone only talking about how busy she was. Despite Otome and Sakura trying to reassure her, she easily comes off as the weakest link in their unit because she's just never there and we never saw her perform until they were presumed dead. When Kaede was part of their halloween team she felt just as vital of a unit member as Shion which really says something.

I don't watch Aikatsu Stars but I really like this picture.
That expression is very nice.
I tend to dislike characters with hamster looking teeth, because I also hate broken or bad teeth IRL. I also dislike it when a character doesn't have hamster teeth, but they draw hamster teeth to a character because they're eating in that fashion. However in this picture her mouth is hidden by the cheese or cookie, so it is perfect.
This picture is very relaxing, heart warming and funny.

Oh and her eyes look like eyes in Honey & Clover and I like them in this pic, even though I usually don't. Mostly because I never liked Hagu much for some reasons and seeing those eyes always remind me of her.
