In her other series, Hirunaka no Ryuusei, she let the 2nd guy in a love triangle win just so it will go against the popular trope of "first guy wins" while ignoring and throwing off all relationship and character development she has built up throughout the story. The 2nd guy only got a hamfisted tragic backstory in the last chapter to make the ship more bearable.
