We're introduced to the MC who is a bland self insert and his harem that includes the tsundere flat chested princess, the childhood friend, the Rei clone, the senpai, etc. etc. etc. They are in a fantasy world military academy in a rich island kingdom with many overseas colonies. However trouble is brewing and by the end of the episode, they are recruited to join the air force. Being a fantasy setting, they ride around in dragons. So far so good. Episode 2 is more of the same harem slice of life and also the the island kingdom is now at war with one of the new Empires in the mainland which has attacked one of its allies. The episode ends with the MC and his harem squad being given their first mission which is to escort the heavy dragons that are carrying a heavy bomb load in their swifter light dragons (basically fighters escorting bombers to their destination). Episode 3 opens with everyone being kind of nervous but optimistic that they'll pull through. Cue the actual mission where the inexperienced squadron gets their shit pushed in and they all die except the MC who only survived because the childhood friend blocked a fireball meant for him. He goes back to the base alone and as he debriefs, the reality of being at war finally settles in. To make the suffering even worse, he gets to see the aftermath of the bombing on the city. Episode 3 ends with him thoroughly disillusioned on the glory of war.
Some kind of a romance. Boy loves girl from a school/class. too shy to make a move. The boy has schizophrenia, what viewer knows, but boy not. Boy makes contact with characters that what to help him to get girl's heart. These characters are boy's hallucinations.
Some of these characters are fictional like angel, devil, Sherlock, Bond, some are historical, some are typical anime-deres.
With this we could see the conflict between different mindsets about love and MC trying out diffent tactics.
The plot could be psychological with girl turning out to be hallucination as well, or shallow with end message that in love you should be yourself.

Episode 4 opens with MC having been transferred over to a new squadron. Because his dragon was injured badly, he had nothing to fly and thus was put into one of the bomber squadrons he was supposed to protect. The crew is initially hostile to him because his squadron's fuck up cost the lives of some of their own. However, eventually they realize how badly the mission fucked with the MC and how it was their first mission. By the end of the episode, they become more friendly with him to bring him out of his depression and to make him competent enough to be a good crew member next time they fly.
I should mention that the heavy dragons require multiple crew. The MC would be something non glamorous like a gunner rather than a pilot.
But anyway, this crew unlike his old harem squad is mostly dudes with a few women and they are all adults in their 20s and 30s rather than highschoolers. They are also rather experienced. So the MC and his new squadron members practice and train together in Episode 5 and slowly grow closer. After a montage time skip that goes over a month or two, they are all good friends who have already flown a few missions together. At the end of the episode, they receive. Their new mission. Unlike the others, this is a top secret major operation. Bombing and destroying one of the enemy's major dams using a prototype bomb during night time. From then on, it turns into Dambusters: The Anime with the squadron preparing for the mission, the scientists and engineers trying to make everything perfect and the politicking of the officers and politicians over the mission.Also the girl that wins the MCbowl is the tomboy christmas cake.

Episode 1 starts with a ruined city, with the husk of one of the first demons to attack wrapped around a skyscraper, camera cuts to one of the fortresses, which resembles a giant train (Think arms fort great wall) being chased by another huge demon, golems get woken up in a startup sequence out of geo-armor kishin corps. MC is a soul taken out of the belly of this demon after it's killed

I guess it would work much better as a visual novel but here goes.
A gaijiin goes into Japan to study Japanese and enrolled to a small international school. The school was casual as fuck, no one would care if you entered once a week and leave in the afternoon. As he studied everyday, he eventually found out the other students in his school were problem students who couldn't stand regular school or were kicked out from a regular school. As the protagonist learns more Japanese, he tries to deepen his relationship with his classmates and try to help them with their problems in life.

lil' boy and girl are child friends. Their parents happen to be close with each other as well. One day, boy's parents was driving with the girl's parents at night for the celebration of the boy's dad's promotion. Father of the boy got little sleepy, lost control of the car, and fell off the cliff. His wife and both of the parents of the girl died and it was only him that survived with shame. At the time, the boy and the girl was watching TV at home together. Later that day, the boy and the girl hears the news and shit hits the floor. Father of the boy is depressed as fuck and cannot concentrate in life. He barely pulls it off and decides to adopt the little girl due to guilt who has no close relatives her family kept contact with. As the three live together, it might look normal but there's something weird about the atmosphere in the household. The father cannot stop from keeping distance with the family due to sin he committed and the boy feels very awkward and cannot function as the mediator in the house because of his uncertain role as a former friend of this girl who his father accidentally lead to her parent's death. And most of all, she is, by legal sense, his sister now. This girl acts cold and isolated even after maturing because she want to be the independent person in the house restricted by no past, but seeing how her step-dad and former friend acts awkwardly triggers agitation in her. Most of all, she doesn't know how she feels herself as she is in her puberty. The boy had feelings for her since he was little. After the incident, that feeling was always like a torrent of uncertainty; he didn't understand his own feelings himself. But as the uncanniness in the house continued, he can sense objectively that his feelings regarding her is shaping into a form that is odd to say the least. The girl is now 10th grader and she has established her own circle in life outside the house and manages to stay calm on the surface around people. -Cont 1-
One night, she over hears her step-dad arguing with his superior at his work and finds out that her parents died not by accident, but due to impulsive act of her step-dad throwing the car off the cliff on purpose while arguing with her real father over the promotion. Those two were actually in the same company both waiting to hear the announcement on who becomes the director of the division. The girl's real dad won the promotion and the boy's father angered silently. While driving back from the inn they were celebrating, two men were a little drunk and got into an argument as the boy's dad started throwing tantrum and they all got emotional which lead the boy's dad to drive the car off the cliff without thinking. The girl was at first devastated, but that feeling turned into something more of dangerous. It didn't take long until she decided to kill her step-dad. The boy happen to figure out what she was planning and got into some tense situation with her, but right before she made a move to take the boy out, he proposed that he will assist. The girl, at first suspicious, starts feeling that the two are on the same boat as the boy addressed that he was angry at his dad as well for ruining everything. Despite that there was apparently an ice wall between the two, those two steadily proceeded on planning to take him out without leaving any trace. For years have they not bonded like that period, the moment which in common sense such things should never happen. The D-day has come and she finally stabs the drugged father to death and stands on chill feet. "Pssh", she feels numb; there was a sharp metal piercing out of her stomach. She barely manages to turn her head back and sees her co-meditator holding onto a long knife which ravaged her from the back. She's at a loss of a word and falls onto her legs and slowly dies as her spilt blood mixed with her step-dad's blood and smeared the surface of the forest. The boy knew from the beginning. -cont 2-

Why would you need multiple people for a dragon? Why replace all the original, how did only mc survive? If I were you I would have a mixed aged crew in both arc 1 and 3 so as to not make it seem the original crew was made to die. Also keep the friend alive, it makes no sense to create her so early and then to have her die right away. Also add emphasis on the enemy, create enemy characters that a viewer can sympathize with. Have both meet up and kill them off like akame ga kill. There is potential as long as cgi is not a thing
After a year of that incident, the boy's father, whilst drunk and tormented by his past doing, spilled his dark secret to his son without even knowing what he was saying. The boy didn't know what to do, and he was just baffled by such confession not knowing what to even think of it. The boy never forgot what he heard from his dad that night. The thought haunted him from day to night for years and years. His father didn't seemed to remember that he told his son of his doing. It was his father's confession that triggered the boy's mental cap. He was not as he used to be anymore before he even realized. It was hard to describe how he felt; guilt-no, fear that one day she might find out?-no, it was something more dark and abnormal. He felt as if he was alone in this world all by himself. No one understood him and even his step-sister who she once, and even now in a different way, adored. When he witnessed her sister planning to kill his father, a switch turned on. He has been so distanced from her, but so close in his mind, that he saw this as the last opportunity to 'feel' and discover her. The day killing was done, and it was all over for him. No longer did he needed her for unravelling his passion inside him. The last thread of torment to be released was her as everything else has disappeared. He is now a free man who used to be a ordinary boy that had a crush on a little girl in the neighborhood. He used to enjoy watching television with her not caring the world outside of that zone. It was shattered one day, without a warning. He faced the world he didn't welcomed, so sudden. He just wanted it to all end.

This needs more character development or a bridge to gap the time leap to 10th grade. A girl who is sullen for that long is just unnatural by real life standards. A boy who withholds information for that long doesn't make sense either. One of the biggest mistakes though is the lack of plot depth. It seems that there isn't enough substance to keep the story going. Maybe if the father discovered their plan, made the kids run from police and then had to live life on the run. Or better yet make the company the father worked for have ties to the mafia. The company and the father seek killing the siblings in order to keep the secrets from spilling. Just my own thoughts though otherwise it has potential.

-I was going for OP's hard mode. The original crew is meant to be a bait and switch. Trick people into thinking this would just be another generic harem with a self insert harem MC but then turn it into a war drama.
-MC survives due to dumb luck and his friend sacrificing herself for his sake. Even then, him and his dragon take heavy damage while retreating back to base.
-Regarding enemies, I'm thinking that the squadron that wrecks MC and the Harem squad, don't show up again and are forgotten by the viewers and then during the dam busting raid, they make a surprise appearance because they're based at a nearby airbase. Then episode 11 would be from their perspective with them finding out that there is an imminent attack from a spy and how this attack will devastate the local area including several towns and villages. Episode ends with them taking off to confront MC and his new bomber squadron. Then episode 12 is MC fighting for his country and to avenge his fallen comrades as well as destroy an important piece of infrastructure (the dam acts as a powerplant for a large part of the enemy country and has made the surrounding area fertile) and now us the viewers being aware that the enemy squadron is fighting to save several thousand civilian lives. Basically, in one episode it turns from good vs bad to a morally gray situation. Do you want the MC to kill thousands of civvies and cripple your enemy potentially saving more lives or the enemy squadron to kill the MC once and for all and stop innocent lives from being slaughtered.

Plot

In this world humanity is confined to cities due to monsters constantly pillaging and killing unprotected settlements. Thus being an explorer is an incredibly dangerous job.
The MC is honest and hardworking, eventually forming a tight-knit group of friends to party with. He also forms some rivalries with stuck up nobles.
Eventually they graduate and go to explore the unknown together where they encounter zombies, minotaurs, orges, goblins, arachnae, treants and a vast array of other creatures interested in eating their flesh.
The MC also decapitates one of his rivals when the two groups run into each other in a ruined city.

Okay, let's start with a typical isekai premise.
A 25-year-old NEET lives with his parents, and dreams of going to a world of swords and sorcery, where all of his hours of Dragon Quest can finally pay off. His father, a salaryman and sole provider for the house, hates the sort of anime crap that made his son love a lazy lifestyle.
Then one day, the dad is hit by a Japanese truck and is suddenly brought into a parallel world of swords and sorcery.
The series has two intertwining stories - one of the father stuck in a fantasy land, trying to use what little knowledge he has to find a way home, and the other of the son, forced to get a job and become "normal" without his father's help.

When the maid finally finishes up, twirls her weapon, holsters it, and is about to unload a grim one-liner while looking into the distance, he cuts her spiel short by holding up something he took out of his pajama's pockets.

Does an anime studio exist, that can pull off that scene? Where he conveys "it costs five fucking dollars. It has a fuze of four fucking seconds. How can you drama whores look at yourselves in the mirror?" But without words. It's all in that... that Look. That look of utter eye-rolling disdain, mixed with a tint of distaste for the sheer... exhausting-looking *effort* expended.
The whole show is just that. One Straight Man sighing his way through a sentai show and dealing with every problem in a brutally efficient, quick manner, sometimes visibly tapping his foot as he waits for his teammates to stop fucking around.
Take any daytime soap opera - Days of Our General Hospital Lives - and put a single, completely ordinary, sane black man in it. That's what I want; the anime version of that.

A 20 year old full time worker once orphan finds his little sister is suffering from severe illness. The only cure unfortunately is an expensive surgery which he can nowhere near afford.
Meanwhile, a death race sponsored by thousands of organisations is taking place across the country called the ABC. Three sets of qualified racers must travel certain distances and take the lead to win cash prizes. All three sets of contestants take off at the same line.
New racers must start in the C league and must come first in the 200km race to continue racing alongside the B members. B members must finish first in the 500km race to qualify for the A league, but racers 1st-3rd receive cash prizes. A league members 1st-3rd also win enormous cash prizes in the 1000km race.
Cue back to our main character who has been plagued with bad luck his entire life. On his way home he is stopped by a Gypsy who tells him great luck will come to him on an upcoming date for exactly 72 hours. Thinking nothing of it, he comes home and finds an advertisement in the paper coincidentally matching the ABC Race. He entertains the thought of racing only to realise even the largest cash prize wouldn’t cover the hospital fees. He then finds the odds of a C league member winning the A league and finds the betting prize to be beyond his wildest dreams and plenty to give his sister the treatment she desperately needs.
Despite never racing a day in his life he decides to take an all or nothing gamble to save his little sisters life. He sneaks his car into his industrial factory workplace at night and welds some shoddy reinforcements and signs up for the upcoming race, betting his entire savings on himself winning the tournament. Armed with only his courage, luck, and timely advice of a homeless man he paid $8 to be his crew manager.

A guy, named Shinzo, has a harem and is this powerful galaxy traveling mercenary. Then he suffers a series of defeats. Loses his harem. Then winds up back on earth in a loser life. Job sucks, apartment sucks, galactic baddies and former harem girls mock him.
In the guy's town is also a girl, named Aki. She was part of a harem and the boy choose a single girl and it wasn't her. The boy and the winning girl move away and leave the other harem girls behind. Aki hasn't taken the rejection well doesn't know what to do with her life anymore.
Then one night Shinzo and Aki meet. As they had both climbed up onto the edge of the saem bridge. To jump off to their deaths. The shock of meeting another suicidal person on the bridge derails their deadly trains of though. So they get down and go to ramen shop. So they can drown their sorrows in salty noodles and beer.
After much noodles and many beers. They discus how unjust the harem phenomenon is to the losers. To have that dream life right there or even in it. Then just ripped away. Harem Deconstruction takes on a parody version of other anime, manga, ln harems, each episode. They'll sabotage harems so on one gets their feelings hurt, or bring wicked justice to the winners that deserve it.
An autistic boy meets an autistic girl and falls for her. MC-kun stalks the girl and discovers that she's a self-taught witch and is preparing a massive ritual in the woods. He tries to climb a tree to get a better view of her, but falls off and gets noticed by the girl. They both spill massive amounts of spaghetti, but she finally calms down enough to ask him to help her in the ritual. He agrees, thinking he'll get closer to her, not knowing that the ritual is an attempt to make the witch's tulpa a "real boy" because she's been in love with the tulpa for years. Neither of them know that the tulpa is gay, but too polite to tell the witch that and break her heart, or that MC-kun's childhood friend (male) is in love with MC-kun and has been jealously stalking them. The ritual has to take place during a full moon, so the witch and MC-kun have about two weeks to prepare for it. During that time, they grow closer, and MC-kun's friend gets more and more jealous, to the point that he starts planning to murder the witch. On the night of the ritual, which MC-kun helps the witch preform, the friend attacks, jumping out of the bushes and stabbing the witch at the most important moment of the ritual. The witch doesn't die, but this fucks the ritual up, but the blood spilled on the ground causes it to bring the ghosts of a teenager who'd killed himself and his girlfriend in a murder-suicide in the woods a few decades before to half-life, effectively making the killer and his girlfriend poltergeists. The killer ghost is delighted and flies off towards town to cause chaos. The witch, MC-kun, his crazy gay friend, the homo tulpa and the ghost girl have to team up to exorcize the killer's ghost before the next full moon, at which point he'll become permanently tied to the town and will be impossible to get rid of.At the end, they send the ghost and the ghost girl back to the underworld, MC-kun and the witch get together, and friend-kun hooks up with the tulpa.

I'm thinking of a pretty typical story, where the MC gains access to another world and receives great power for poorly defined reasons. Except that instead of becoming some hero or anything noble of that sort, he's really more of a murderhobo. The power lets him do things he only ever used to dream of before, but he's got no strong driving ideals.
He just wanders from place to place, getting in and out of trouble while doing various odd jobs and fucking around. There's no clear goal or grand purpose in sight, though the various stories he involves himself in are treated seriously and are full of unique characters with strong passions and desires. Some become longterm allies or opponents, but most of the time their relationship with the MC is rather transient. There's deeper lore going on in the background, but the MC is just a passing tourist who sometimes gets involved if he's forced, hired, or something just catches his eye.
He's not without companions, but they're all just the sort of beings who would put up with his typically pointless abuse of power. They're thrill-seeking demons with nefarious plans, orcs just looking for a good fight, and maybe a few people who think they owe him for something. While he's got no particular goal of his own, except the pursuit of greater power, he does want to make their dreams come true.
He's attracted to people who have strong wishes but lack the means to bring them into being, whether it's revenge, salvation, or something more noble, and it's these people he usually offers his services to. As his infamy spreads, he gains a reputation as a devil. The fact that overexposure to magic is slowly rotting him from the inside doesn't help either.
Guys not every anime has to be about boy meets girl harem scifi fantasy worlds.

At the same time as this, a new fighter squadron is being formed. With the war going on in the continent, there were many refugees from the mainland who came to the island kingdom. Among these refugees were former military personnel who escaped capture. Some of these military personnel were experienced fighter pilots. Now the island kingdom is at war, they finally have a chance to fight again and join a newly created squadron specifically for expats.
MC is one such pilot, a prodigy who flew in the circus from a young age, he was swept up in the patriotic fervor and joined his country's military but although he was a good pilot, his country got overwhelmed and he was forced to flee. As a result, he is now an edgy little shit who wants revenge. Other squadron members are a jolly ikemen, a chronic drinker, an older veteran who is like the team dad, a kuudere ace and a genki younger girl. Together, these misfits along with their gentle yet charismatic onee-san supervisor train with and get used to their new dragons, learn to work together and defend the realm from the invaders all while dealing with the top brass who want to shut down the squadron of misfits as just a waste of resources.
Eventually the enemy empire fields a brand new breed of dragon that is faster, stronger, tougher, etc. than the others and the only ones left between it and the capital are the MC and his squad. Will they be able to stop the dragon from razing it to the ground or will they fall like everyone else? Basically Battle of Britain: The Anime.
Winner of the MCbowl is one of the shy bridge bunnies that MC had actually started a relationship with party way through the series when he finally stopped being edgy and we only find out as he tells her that he always loves her as he sacrifices himself to stop the enemy dragon from reaching the capital.

My idea: MC wakes up in a fantasy world (NOT A GAME WORLD), he has no knowledge of who he is or where he is or even common knowledge of the world. He's a full on blank slate. (he is not a world switcher either, this is a full on fantasy anime). He's in chains in a dungeon, and his body is in terrible condition. Before he can really collect his mind, he's broken out of the prison by a beautiful girl; she's totally a hard T tsuntsun, cute/beautiful design, she acts like she knows the MC.
They spend the whole first season on the run, with the MC learning about the world, learning different magic (apparently he was a sorcerer of some power) and learning he was in prison due to fighting some more powerful lord over a girl he fell in love with. The Tsuntsun apparently is a childhood friend. They're in many tight/romantic and scary situations, barely able to keep ahead of the hunters chasing after them.
Since he remembers nothing about the girl he once loved he starts to fall in love with the tsuntsun, little hints of dere start to pop out over time. The season 1 ends with the MC about to confess his love for the tsuntsun, just as they're about to join up with a larger group of her friends. she runs up to a guy proclaiming to be the MC's brother (they look alike) and kisses him right in front of the MC, she introduces him to her husband and father of their child, as well as his flesh and blood twin (younger) brother. The MC is crushed and sucks it up, keeping a straight face somehow through the intro, as the pursuit catches up and the MC gets shot with magic that causes and explosion.

MC survives the attack and reawakens his memories, the whole first 2 episodes is spent on his backstory, his love with the pure and innocent girl, how the fat old magister lord siezed her on his wedding day how he lost his dual, and ends with him being tossed into the dungeon.
The MC realizes he's been running in the wrong way the whole time and goes on a killing spree, fighting his way back to the castle to take back his love. He makes his way into the castle under cover of night, kills the magister, in a bad ass one on one dual, and seizes his woman. However as he's taking her from the castle she breaks down in tears begging his forgiveness. She tells him she resisted for as long as she could but in the end he learns she's pregnent with the magister's child; she tells him she never stopped loving him only he just didn't save her fast enough and begs her to kill the monster in her belly (she doesn't want to have the child). In angish and rage he kills her as a slut, stomping on her heart before telling her what a useless whore she was.
The scene ends with him laughing madly, on his needs with the blood of his beloved splattered on his face

Not really. The setting and characterization I want is rather different. As I said before, he acts more like a murderhobo than anything else. He doesn't have even half the motivation he needs to even try to be a proper hero, though he's not heartless. His transient nature makes him more like a deus ex machina that ruins the flow of more compelling stories, who is too irresponsible to bother cleaning up his messes.
If there's any rage to be had, it's watching a good setting being established while knowing he's going to show up with his merry band of fellow murderhobos and waste all of the hard work and effort of characters with actual goals in life.

I got multiple ideas written down. Here's an old one:
Eldritch
-MC is an eldritch god who has the job of regulating the many worlds that come into existence (Regulating = Causing them to has an apocalypse and be destroyed) with other eldritch gods on the orders of their father.
-After ending x world for the x amount of times the MC becomes bored of their job, and decides to tell the other eldritch gods to go fuck themselves, and hopes into a high fantasy world where they save two little girls from bandits. Afterwards to try and see what life is like not being an eldritch god of destruction and the MC adopts the little girls as their daughterus.
-The whole plot focuses on the MC as they go around the high fantasy world with their daughterus solving issues going on, watching the MC btfo of everything that gets in their way, and the daughterus teaching their new fatheru right from wrong as it turns out eldritch gods are highly amoral and living sociopaths.
-Somewhere down the story the MC siblings arrive in the high fantasy world to trigger it's apocalypse, and MC must now go to war against it's family in order to save it's daughterus and actual friends.

Besides, the Eldritch ain't supposed to be put in the spotlight like that, their charm comes in that they're a force of the unknown, lurking just beyond that small corner. Even in Nyarlathotep, where 80% of the passage is related to the titular Eldritch, Nyarla is still very much an enigma.
