Unconfirmed but likely information about S2 ep 1:
It was similar in structure to the first season premiere, but with a slightly different feel. The new characters are pretty intense. Sena is bullied no matter where he goes. Something about Inagi's past and Kuroki's scar. Mythos says interesting/amusing stuff. The next episode previews are also a bit different this time

It was a very episodic show, which is common enough for the genre it belongs to.
They were also building up towards Mythos and company pulling off their move. Which, naturally, the team would be able to stop from fully succeeding.
It's likely they'll raise the stakes for the second season and the villain will be someone else with another idea, but obviously the type of show it was probably won't change radically.
