This is the order. If you start on Baki Dou it won't make much sense, but New is actually a fine starting point, you just miss the character introductions.

Reading through it at the moment, I'm at the Pickle Arc of Son of Ogre. The Olivia/Gebaru arc was great fun (despite being a little jingoistic) but the Pickle Arc, despite having some cool parts, is sorta boring me. All this power of imagination and image training shit isn't that interesting for me.

We saw Strydum fight a few of his elite soldiers and win. He's probably just as strong as Kuriyagawa, or maybe a bit stronger. I doubt Yuujiro would have someone as weak as Kuriyagawa hanging around him, but Strydum is a special case all-around.

but I loved almost everything about the second season except for Baki's fights. Fights involving Retsu or Shibukawa in particular were tons of fun.
Nothing quite topped S1's Yujiro vs Doppo fight, sure, but I didn't think it was bad as everyone on here insists it was.

Nobody cares about that shit, and there's no need to make a statement about a future announcement on such things. Knowing this, there are only two things that Baki fans would care about herein - the manga, and the possibility of an anime. Given that these are "fan-anticipated plans", it's not news on the future of the manga. Also, the original anime was first an OVA, and then two seasons of an actual anime.
