I don't see how these are any more autistic than using a anime wallpaper. Some of them look pretty nice too. Personally I like ones with character portraits or something similar. Pic related is mine. They are a little harder to find in good quality though. For example Sora no Woto's looks like shit. Once I decide what I want to keep Ill finish the rest.
Why not just have something like taiga handle this for you for top level abstraction?
Keeping track of individual folders for each series is such a pain. I have nice individual folders for each BD/batch release I obtain and just a big dump folder for all current seasonal stuff.
Taiga handles all the detection and grouping and I don't have to worry about it. These icons do look neat though.
