Shizuru's route was pretty terrible. The poor use of an extended "flashback" to instill a sense of mystery and drama was incredibly shallow, on par with the "mystery" in Lucia's route.
The two things that saved her route from being a complete pile of crap were the fact that Shizuru is honestly a cute and great girl, and the fact that diary scene at the end of her route was easily one of the the moments in the entire VN.
It's really a shame because she deserved a much better route than what she was given.

Kotori route gets spoiled if you play any other route first since it plays on the mystery of not knowing what the fuck is going on. Shizuru and Akane have major revelations are best saved towards the end. Chihaya and Lucia are plot dumps mainly that flesh out what you saw in Kotori's route, and save time for Shizuru and Akanes routes by establishing the basis for them.

Fair enough, most of my love or the route does arise from the ending and simply her god tier character. But beyond the end of Kotori's, I despised her route. And moldy cheese is not my idea of a fun time. I kept thinking it was over and then oh, there's another damn oring fight, final being won by fire and nakama powers with Midou of all people. Don't give me any bullshit about character development because his was far too lackluster to justify that.
Lucy's was pretty good, though she got kind of retarded in the end. So, besides Terra and Akane's, I felt like Shizu's was the only one that really got close to that sickening feeling you get with Akane or the sheer despair at Terra. And it doesn't help I cried like a baby after that diary.

Oh yeah, that was fine. I'm not the biggest fan of how this seems to be the standard in anime these days but the parts that weren't CG were really expressive and looked nice, so I don't mind. It's almost like you can see where they put the time and money they saved.
Honestly I'll probably drop this when the hijinks stop happening and the story gets serious, I wasn't a fan of a lot of the routes in the VN but the character interactions were great.

At the start of this route Kotaru has already dated every one of the main heroines and is now going through the true route, kagaris route. In this route it is implied that he has already dated everyone and the routes are now converging in some MLA esque route. Basically all of their routes would not save the earth, and he has tried each of them, now begins Kagaris route.
Kagari is also the Key, the key to saving earth, whether she deems it to be safe or not, everything keeps fucking up which causes her to come into existence, she spends most of her time on the Moon contemplating how to save everything, and when she can't the route resets, in order to get to this route in the game all of the routes have to be completed and tried, realizing the world ended in each one.
