I guess the romance part didn't get anywhere, and there was a lot of almost confessions that amounted to nothing. Though people have been saying it is because the source metrical, and the anime might get another season.
I have little to no interest in it after reading some of the complaints, and I don't normally take /a/ seriously. But people seem to be generally disappointed in it, more than the "It's shit" posts.

It's complete shit. Don't waste your time. Just watch The Tatami Galaxy again (most of you kids on /a/ have probably never watched the tatami galaxy, so go watch it for the first time).
The main character acts like an actual 17 year old the entire series, and instead of the series being about a 27 year old interacting with people out of his age-range he simply fits in with them perfectly with no sort of weird abrasion.
It's also boring high school drama shit, and the sci-fi element is almost nonexistent after the first few episodes.
