Why in the fuck would they release an entire show at once? It gives no time for people to discuss it week to week. No time for drama/suspense to build you up and hold an audience's collective piqued interest for a week or two (spurring more discussion and catching more interest by word of mouth), it just is dissipated right away at random times per viewer.
Furthermore people make their decisions on what to buy at least halfway or three quarters down the line of the season after comapring the other shows side by side. With this already finished and there being no unified audience connection/fanbase building up over a few months, when people start getting BDs they might think as an afterthought "oh yeah, re:life came out too didn't it? Eh, a couple months on it wasn't really that good, gonna put my money into (show that managed to build up hype and just ended)".
I fucking guarantee this will bomb in sales.
