The animated bits were, the CG had choppy framerate and they had to slow it down during certain scenes as to try to cover up that fact. That's why it sold like shit in Japan, nobody liked it. So instead of doing what people asked, they decided to throw away the decent drawn bits and just use CG for most of it, which was the biggest problem the audience had with the adaptation. This will sell poorly as well, especially with all the stuff they changed just in episode 1.
