In my opinion based on watching anime archivally and seasonally some shows are better all at once and others really take advantage of letting their audience sit for a week. It just depends. That's an opinion but discussion being unharmed in the long run is has been evidenced with stuff in the west (it won't last a whole season long though, obviously, but it can last months).
