I never went to a Japanese uni myself, but yeah there are plenty of people studying there. I'm pretty sure that's most people's first experience with the country, in fact.
Also, while I never did a year abroad, I did look into it. And doing it seemed pretty easy. If you go to a good school, you probably have several good Japanese unis as options. And having a good moon school on a resume makes you look pretty good yourself if you're looking to work at a Japanese company down the line. Even if you only went there for a year or 6 months or however long your abroad program works.But this is getting crazy off topic.

Asian universities in general are much easier and less stressful than high school, whereas it's the reverse in the West. It's likely that by 18 the average Jap is smarter than you, but it (probably) balances out somewhat by the end of Uni if you don't fuck around.
