He's right though. They are like Saturday morning cartoon villains at the moment. So far we've had a couple of them showing up, fighting and dying in the space of one or two episodes and they barely contributed to anything apart from giving us unanswered questions. The real villain, threat or whatever the humans are fighting against haven't showed up yet.

That's one thing I like about this show. On one hand it has a somewhat serious atmosphere and tries to depict what a world where these artifacts have appeared might credibly look like, what with the UN, and the politics and struggle for power between different branches, yet on the other hand the villains are pretty much the dudes from twintails.
It shoves these inconsistencies in your face and makes you wonder if it's all for the sake of something that hasn't been revealed yet or if it's genuinely making fun of you for watching.

Because your post is in line with something I was going to say, I'll add: I can understand why many people would dislike kuromukuro, because I myself have dropped shows for less than what kuromukuro has done. It just so happens that it hasn't done those things in a way that makes me think it's genuinely bad rather than just having fun at its own or my expense, but I can't blame people for dropping it after the weasel roomba scene, for example.
If we add to this that on the "good" end of the scale kuromukuro isn't very impressive or memorable, it falls perfectly within reason that for a lot of people the bad would outweigh the good.
