When I first read JoJo years back I kind of rushed through (but still read all of) Parts 1 and 2 so that I could get to the good stuff (Part 3 onwards) which I really enjoyed.
I didn't watch the anime for a long time because I'd read the mango but caved in now that everyone's talking about it. To my surprise I enjoyed Parts 1 and 2 to a FAR larger extent than before. I thought they made fantastic use of color and were all around an audiovisual treat. Closing off with Roundabout also felt just so right.
After having a blast with the first season, I found myself not enjoying Stardust Crusaders as much, even though the opposite was true when I was reading the manga. The use of color isn't as good, it drags much more, and there aren't as many humorous moments (though the final fight arc was extremely well done). Even Diamond is Unbreakable's adaptation seems to lack a little something that the first season had.
I understand the disdain for animefags but I also totally see where they're coming from when they say Part 2 is the best. "Hamon is better than Stands" is badly worded and I don't agree, but I completely understand the intent of the statement.

It's not shitty, but it's something that an authentic Italian chef probably wouldn't do. It's not hard to make fresh spaghetti and pasta-making is an important part of Italian cooking.
The sauce sounded pretty solid though, puttanesca's great, and it's cool how they list the ingredients. I wish it had mentioned putting capers in it though, they're one of the best parts. And it would've been fun if they'd called it puttanesca too, if only to hear the characters try and pronounce it.

I'd say it's probably more a case of making shit recognizable to a Japanese audience - it's way visually easier to tell dried uncooked spaghetti from cooked spaghetti than it is to tell fresh raw spaghetti from cooked stuff. And I noticed with the caprese salad that they'd presented it in a more typically Japanese style too, with the kind of lettuce - that stood out to me because they'd changed it a little from the manga one.
Good luck with your own puttanesca though, it's a really good and easy sauce to make.

We'll probably hear those parts sometime fully in the anime, my best bet is we'll hear a whole lot of the song in Josuke-centric fights like Highway Star.
Honestly? In comparison to SDC's OST direction I think DiU's has been better so far, they've done a great job with character themes and using them to make their appearances interesting like Yukako or Akira's, and the battle themes have been nothing short of fucking great.

I get how Made In Heaven works, and don't particularly think it's that much more of an asspull than most other stuff in JoJo, but my one question is how did DIO know how to make it?
Not to mention that its creation required the combined use of several incredibly specific stands, many of which probably didn't exist yet when DIO was alive. Did he have some sort of precognitive abilities? But if he could see the future makes even less sense given how surprised he was to get his ass kicked by Jotaro.

I think it was implied that his time in the coffin was when he realised all his fate stuff and at some undisclosed point in time he learnt from the Arrows about it or something. It's the one thing in Part 6 I wish we'd gotten added in. I really liked how Part 3 DIO was set up to be the saviour of all the wicked people in the world since they deserve a saviour as much as anyone else and how Pucc's rile in bringing all mankind to heaven tied into that and the same for DIO's 'peace of mind' speech to Polnareff, I just wish Part 3 DIO had gotten a little bit of character development since although still very much a bad person he's far more philanthropic than Part 1 Dio who was just being a cunt for the sake of it. Or at least have one more flashback chapter in Part 6 that focused solely on DIO and how his time in the coffin changed him and where he learned about Heaven, even if it was just a vision when he was stabbed with the Arrow or something.
I love Part 6 but that was one of it's biggest flaws.

Not to mention that she's one of the few who seems to balk at killing her foes when it's not in the heat of the moment, too. When Survivor was making her bloodthirsty, she was surprised nd horrified at herself for wanting to kill her opponent from the getgo because she wouldn't normally do that. And she's very sweet to Emporio too, and was kind to and protective of him ever since he warned her the first time.
Compare that to Giorno, who sat around and chilled while a helpless schmuck was being sadistically tortured by his buddies, or even Jotaro and how blase he is about taking lives.

I think it's the juxtaposition of Jonathan-like-morality paired with Jotaro/Joseph-like-shitty-attitude. She's a good person, but she's not always a very nice one. And she can be pretty brutal at times too when it's called for, she certainly didn't hesitate to kill that lawyer who fucked her over.
But overall, yeah, Jolyne was one of the most straightforwardly heroic. It really shows how many people skimmed SO when they write her off as a nastier r63 Jotaro clone.

To be fair, as much as I love the part overall I can see why people would be mad about the ending, although I loved the various character development we got out of it (Jotaro dropping his in-control-facade in a panic over Jolyne being endangered, Jolyne sacrificing herself) I was bitter about it too. Good thing SBR was so good.
Not to mention how Araki was pressured to finish it earlier, too - it feels bad that we also missed out on Giorno meeting up with Jolyne, which had been foreshadowed. I'm not a huge Giorno fan by any means, but it would have been interesting to see how the respective heirs of DIO and Jotaro got along.

It does have problems, but I think people shit on it too much, there was a lot of good stuff too. Hell, fights like Bohemian Rhapsody and Underworld are some of the most bizarre and cool fights in the series. You can't say seeing Jolyne crash a jet INTO a plane wasn't one of the funniest things. Also helped how Versace and Rykiel were both really apparent in what parts of DIO/Jonathan they inherited, it was a really nice way to explore the Brando bloodline aside from Giorno.

If he had more time or switched to monthly for part 6 it'd most likely be SBR tier honestly, more time would've helped a lot. But I really liked the ending, despite how sad and bittersweet it was, I thought it was a much more unique and interesting way to wrap the series up than just making it a everyone-beats-up-Pucci ending where they all live happily ever after. It was a throwback to part 1's bittersweet ending, and that was something I greatly appreciated, it stood out in true JoJo fashion for not being a generic happy ending.

I don't really hate part 2, and yeah that scene will always be hilarious and iconic. I think the real problem people have with transitioning to Stardust Crusaders is that Joseph is kinda pushed to the side. God damn I fucking hate Abbacchio though. I liked his vision when he died but his only characterisation before that point was being an unbearable cunt. He's easily the worst of the main crew in VA, and that vision was his one saving grace but also the point where he died so we didn't get to see him after it. I didn't expect him to ever lighten up with Giorno but it was literally just 'DURR IMA CUNT N I DUN TRUST YOU EVEN THO U SAVE US SO MANY TIME AND MORE DAN PROOF UR LOYALTY'. I found him pretty funny and endearing, but I didn't like or get his aggressiveness towards Giorno. He really shone in his interactions with the people he knew. And I personally interpreted some of his nastiness to Giorno as jealousy - he struck me as a guy who really liked order and got pissy when the hierarchy was thrown into disarray by Gio's arrival.
Still, it's cool if you're not wild about him, different strokes for different folks. I just appreciated that in spite of his adversarial personality he didn't really have a combat-based stand, too.

If we ever get a third adaptation of HxH I'd be interested in seeing their attempt since they've done such a good job with JJBA thus far and neither HxH anime has been fully accurate and both have plenty of shortcomings. Also we'd probably get Dark Continent animated when the manga for it is finished in 10 years. Like how the main hype factor for the 2011 anime was that we'd get Chimera Ants animated the main hype factor for a third anime would be getting Dark Continent animated.

I can forgive the overuse of the main theme if they used more than just the same guitar riff. To be fair it's a fucking kickass song since the soundtrack is so fucking good. I never would have imagined that SC would have such great music in an anime since the other Parts have a more unified theme that the music could adhere to but the SC one managed to incorporate all the mismatched styles it had into one cohesive sounding but varied soundtrack. Easily the best part of that adaptation for me, the music makes SC so much better even if they just reuse the same parts of the same songs over and over.

Jesus Christ, David isn't THAT bad. The most they did an ep in DIO's World was 5 but they did 3 episodes of 5 chapters and then the final episode was 4 chapters. It was more jarring because they gave 3 episodes to Vanilla Ice and Suzi Q which was 9 chapters all up while DIO's World was 18 plus the single chapter epilogue which they crammed into 4 episodes.
