With Priscilla's luck on the other hand, that means any decision she makes turns out alright in the end and she makes her decisions quick so there is no need to wait or stall on anything.

Well, regardless, if I'm being honest, all of the princess candidates seem like trashy leaders to me, even if some look way more stable than others. Which isn't to say I dislike them as characters, simply that none of them are ideal for ruling a nation. Their personalities are either rotten at their core (Anastacia, Priscilla) or they come off as far too naive (Crusche, Emilia), if not some combination of which (Felt). I guess it's plausible in that regard, though, since conveniently perfect monarchs aren't really forthcoming in reality either.
Ignoring her honest self-interest, Anastacia is one of those sorts of people who is too pragmatic, the kind of leader who doesn't mind temporary sacrifices for future benefit (generally her own). This probably extends to lives. Never trust people whose primary motivation in life is money. That in mind, her methods are probably perfectly sustainable.
Priscilla needn't even be mentioned. Luck always inevitably runs out and she's just a solipsistic bitch one way or the other, regardless of any temporary good will she might show. She'll be a huge success at first, and then she'll do something conceited and retarded and it'll all go down the drain abruptly. I don't trust her leadership for one second. Nice tits, though.
Crusche is probably the most sustainable leader other than Anastacia, though I don't like her personally that much. Likely not nearly as great a bureaucrat as Anastacia is, but her excess of discipline makes up for that. But perhaps her progressive ideals are a tad naive, especially with the Cult of the Jealous Witch looming.
Emilia is the most moral candidate of all, but does she really seem like any kind of ruler with as many complexes as she has?

So, question. Everything in the episode makes sense to me except one thing. The old man council member that did most of the talking actually seemed to somewhat appreciate Subaru's incredible show of emotion to some degree. Keyword seemed. He said firstly that he demonstrated that Emilia was "not someone to be feared" (either because she had such a shitty servant or because someone could genuinely have that much faith in her) and that "he was a wonderful servant." There were a couple things I didn't quite get about the Emilia Subaru convo. So basically Subaru feels like he has to do all this shit for Emilia because of what she did for him in the other timelines, yeah? But Emilia obviously doesn't know about them, and so doesn't understand why he feels he needs to, right? But then why did Subaru start going off about how Emilia should feel in debt to HIM at the end? If the whole point of the conversation was Subaru trying to convince Emilia that he owes her something, why say that shit? Also, he himself admitted that he fought with that knight for himself basically, so then why does he go on to rant about how everything he does is for her? I'm pretty fucking confused about what exactly Subaru was trying to say. God, I hated this episode. Where did his resolve go? It was awful the way he crumbled before Julius. Why did he have to insult knight? There was no reason to do that, they didn't even say a single bad thing about girls, if he were to lash out on anyone it should have been the old guys. Why the fuck did he say anything about being a knight in the first place, he should have said something like #1 supporter of lovely Emilia-tan or whatever which would fit his general style of speaking and taking action much better. Couldn't he say he risked his life multiple times? TWO of the candidates would openly confirm that and so would the best knight.
Scene at the end was incredibly painful to watch but I guess it was necessary after all the shit he pulled.
I won't say this episode killed the show for me but it was surprisingly dangerous. So far I was impressed with every single ep to smaller or bigger extent but this one was almost disgusting.

My theory is she needed just some guy from another world to meet her episode 1 emilia is actually controlled by satella thats why she says satella subaru shows feelings towards emilia due to episode one. Satella gives subaru the ability to never actually die. Satella probably needs emilia as vessel to regain her former strength since both are basically the same and thus emilia would make a perfect vessel.
