Although both Steins;Gate and Re:zero both have a bunch of fruitless re:do's in the beginning, Every step of the way in Steins;Gate you unravel a little more character depth and seems a little more meaningful. I won't even consider comparing the later stages of the plot in comparing them seeing that Re:zero has yet to air the true plot's goal, which inevitably will be fighting whatever evil plot the witch comes up with.

A good portion of the art looks fine, it's just that huke has never drawn male characters that well. It got better this time around, and Okabe looks fine in most of the CGs, but those bad ones still pop up. He also changed his art style and stopped adding the star dust filters to his art so it looks different from the original, which a lot of people don't like.

Suffering is simply a drive where readers can humanize a character. The same as love and friendship. If you aim to lonely faggots, focus on suffering. etc.
Now, this won't guarantee a success of a manga. The performance, which is made by a lot of factors, such as thriller points, environment changes, familiarity(human errors), an expanded focus and many other matters, can even make a pile of trash of an argument, aGreat Story.

That's a pretty natural assumption to make if you've ever entered any of the threads. The SUFFERING is really the only thing people seemingly talk about when it comes to Re;Zero.
If you have to swim through miles of SUFFERINGposting just to get to interesting discussion, it's a fairly safe assumption that the actually reasonable fans are in a massive minority.
I'm not saying that SUFFERING is inherently bad. Personally, I quite enjoy suffering and everything that comes with it. It's just that Re;Zero is rather shallow and unsatisfying in that regard. Watching Subaru suffer is neither interesting, immersive or vindicating because he's just an annoying cunt and it's taking far too long for him to become as interesting as the LNfags claim.
