Both his arm and eye were much better introduced, and didn't waste a ton of time. They were used in the start to show character development, and introduced differently than the armor. His armor seems completely trivial, as the only function it serves is to be a powerspike. His arm gave him new ways to engage in combat. His armor just makes him stronger, which hasn't been used creatively yet. On top of that, both arm and eye did not introduce a shitty character with one purpose.
And before the armor, the chapters were much more frequent. Now the Mage and armor are just wastes of time, when it already takes Months for new chapters.

I can't see Casca staying too upset at Guts or siding with Griffith. The moment she's fixed she may start to freak out, but given time she'll probably start to look at it from a broader pojnt of view. There's a couple of issues with that though. For one, are we just going to get "And Casca and Gits lived happily ever after: The End"? I know Miura said he thinks he'll give Berserk a happy ending, but it would be odd for Guts to just completely drop his desire for revenge. Of course there's nothing he wants more than to just live peacefully with Casca, but just from the standpoint of wrapping up the plot it seems like a bizarre thing to happen. Also, it was mentioned that Guts and crew can't stay on Elf Island for long because time flows differently there and there are very few safe places left in the world, and I highly doubt that Griffith would let Guts and Casca into Falconia, and I'm positive that Guts wouldn't want to live in Griffith's city. So if that's how things are going to be, where will Guts go? Additionally, what would Rickert do if Guts did choose to let Griffith do whatever he wants?

Yes and no. At the current time, by my predictions, we're going to have Guts and Casca lived happily ever after on the Elf Island. It makes sense narratively and theme wise. Griffith got his lifelong goal of having a kingdom (he's not crowned yet) and Guts got his short term goal of restoring Casca.
Both of them are at the opposite side of the world, in their own paradises. It's no surprise that the Elf Island/witch island has a proto-time skip, meaning that when Guts and co come back, a lot will have changed.
Guts and everyone will remain on that island for a period of time until 'something' happens. I don't know what, but it will be something that will force Guts and co to leave and investigate what is happening. Probably something involving the Tree of Life.
My view of the ending is that a great war is brewing. An army is going to be made of mercenaries, paid by Farnese's father who's been foreshadowed to finance whole wars, to take down Falconia.
