Gohan essentially was pushed as Goku two in the beginning, even if he's being shit on now and was made to be a pacifist scholar and had 3 arcs of character development and is still the 3rd strongest nongod in the series. Goten doesn't really have any character development by himself and is second fiddle to Trunks. He's literally fused to Trunks. Trunks, rides the coattails of Future Trunks and didn't have to start from scratch as a character but Goten did. Even now, Trunks will probably have a sideplot with Future Trunks and Mai, but Goten won't do shit on his own. I think the fusion technique really damages them as characters they don't really have agency at the moment.

Despite being the same goofy kid from Dragonball, he still retains an adult feel. In the japanese version, and especially Super he still acts like a child. Now he seems to be just another throw-away character. It looks like Trunks will have a larger role meeting his future self, while Goten will get sidelined with studying. Basically Gohan 2.0 without doing anything that made Gohan interesting.

In the Future timeline Bulma certainly had a fling with Vegeta, but they were never married and weren't that close. Nowhere near as close as they are in the main timeline.
In the Future timeline Bulma may have even more rose-tinted memories of the monkey-tailed boy she found in the woods when she was a dumb 16 year old girl looking to wish for the perfect boyfriend.
In the Future timeline, Bulma might still have had lingering thoughts about him. Thoughts she still had up to Namek.
