Yes, it starts with Nagato having crush on Kyon, and all appropriate shenanigans. Kinda sorta fun.
Then Haruhi appears and show turns into poor man's version of Melancholy with nothing that made original interesting. Just cringeworty.
Then there is 4 episode disappearance arc that feels like it come from another show. It is self-contained, and has completely different tone and theme. Also ships Kyon withalternate-alternate-version Yuki
After that some random episodes with no real conclusion.
