He then went even more nuts after with the details, but came back to a more simple drawing style lately, so don't you dare saying he works 12-15 hours a day with almost no brakes because that's wrong. But the thing is he should have known one day or the other he would have been tired of it and wanted just do something else. So instead of planning and finishing his story without adding again and again things or characters, or hiring assitants full time, he just draws some weeks a year and come back to hiatus until the next deadline for the tank is there. He said the story was 70% completed while Guts was on the boat. It was 8 years ago and the story nearly didn't progressed. If he keeps this pace, Berserk will never be finished. That's it.

While I agree that people can be whiny, most of the complaints have started the past 3 years or so. Before people would complain but it was a lot less mean-spirited, more like people joking about the boat ride, pirates, and month-long breaks.
The past 3 years have been worse than ever, with fans experiencing basically an entire year without a chapter (I think it was 11 months), and then once it started again, experienced another 6 month break. A lot of the bitching probably comes from fear of Miura's health (since reasons are rarely given for his breaks except for when he did the giant manga), or that the series may end prematurely, which I think is warranted. Most people also appreciate the art of Berserk, I remember when it started again last week anon was always bitching about the decline in art - so it's not like people expect the detail we're getting to stay consistent with quicker releases, but Miura could at least be more forward with his fanbase.
