Oh, no doubt. But Mayoiga didn't even have that. Why have such a massive cast when the majority have little to no purpose or presence at all? Can they even be called side characters at that point? It had a number of stupid moments that were fun to laugh at but it wasn't enough. -I LOVED the whole thing UP TO to horrible, terrible, stupid, fucking pointless ending.
-Literally my only problem was the ending: it was otherwise an amazing, visually stunning adventure from start (almost to) finish and I want to fuck every single black bitch in this series.

It's a road movie in series format. The point of a road movie is the journey, not the destination.
Little witch Academia: too cliche. Unfunny characters didn't help.

A variation of this one.
Her journey wasn't completely pointless, she just didn't realize that she had completed it half-way through the series and failed to realize her self-conceived "main goal" wasn't really that important.
I'm not going to say it was bad because it was a very human thing/mistake to make: people over simplify and have a tendency to idealize "carrots on sticks" and this gives them the ability to push through, but Michiko already had everything she needed to be happy.
I guess I'm just cheating and being an asshole observer in the end.
I've heard Mayoiga is the comedy of the season so I've been thinking of watching it.
