I think the majority of media are shit. 99% of famous creators only care about 1 thing, making money. The more it sells, the happier they are. Very, very few big box-office films in the past 5 years have been good. Every superhero movie has been awful, but they put so much money into the movie that it looks absolutely amazing visually, which stunts the average American's thinking. All the Star Wars movies are garbage and yet it's one of the most acclaimed series of all time. Visuals are what sells, that's it. Disney/Pixar uses the same exact formula for all of their movies, and people eat that shit up without thinking twice. There are some gems from Pixar but the majority of them are just the same thing over and over again. Like I said, visuals sell. And just because something is popular doesn't mean it's bad. It's just that the majority of movies are bad, so by simple deduction, the majority of of popular movies are bad as well. Liking a certain show means you're trying to prove you have better taste than someone, or means you have boring taste, etc. When there was not a single time I criticized anyone's shows at all. The closest I said was I can think anyone's shows are bad and anyone can think my shows are bad. But there's a difference between not liking a show and immediately categorizing someone and thinking you know their exact intentions just because they like a certain show. Like I said, it defies all logic. You people have a hard time comprehending that.

LOGH is encompasses such a wide variety of genres of anime. It has so much packed into it, and is written very well. A lot of the minor characters don't get much screen time because of the sheer number of them, and a lot of the military leaders made such retarded decisions. But its plot is on such a massive scale with very little useless filler that I think it's fantastic. I don't know how you can say that LOGH wasn't directed well when they were able to pack more relevant and different content into 110 episodes than shonen can pack into 300+ episodes.

I can see how people can think it's boring or bland. I love space epics and sci-fi shows in general (Rick and Morty and Star Trek are a couple examples) and I like military shows. So it was right up my alley. Being all-encompassing, well-written, and having good character development (for the main characters, at least), along with being sci-fi, is what made me put it in my favorites. But I can understand how people can think it's boring. There IS a lot of dialogue, which is a turn-off for some, but not for me personally, I would've been content with reading the novels even though they are hard to come by. And, of course, sci-fi isn't liked by everyone.

I disliked the narrator, especially because he would sometimes spoil things at the end of episodes so it wouldn't be as exciting when you see it in the next episode. But I don't think the themes were presented in a bland manner. I was engaged for almost all of the show. The narrator was my least favorite part of the show. I think that without him explicitly stating things that didn't need to be stated at times, it would've been a lot more subtle with the direction of its exposition. We can figure things out without being spoonfed the information. I don't think the narrator was always an issue, just at certain times. I think the plot and main characters were written well though, and I think the outcomes of battles and specific character deaths, along with the general direction of the story, were subtle enough. I didn't have an issue with any of that. It was mostly the narrator for me.
