In the few radio she's been in, Sawashiro is always great. The KR episodes with her, Sugita and Miyano are funniest of all time.
My overall favorite female personality is Asumin. When she's on her own she's usually pretty calm, but with partners like Iguchi or Hidamari girls (especiallyMatsuki) she really gets to shine.
Isomura Tomomi is gender-bendered Sugita as everyone already knows from, but not as many people know she's doing Persona Stalker Club with Mafia Kajita. The web radio of Mabinogi with Ono Yuuki was also good, especially the guest times with Kakkii, Akai Koshimizu and Sugita.

Ayaneru for me too. I've watched and listened to a few other radios and events, but none keep me as entertained as the ones with her in it. The show has had some of the silliest shit I've ever heard though. It isn't quite Ishigami sex sounds out of control but challenge corners involving recorder playing, reading the longest words in the dictionary, talking to one of the staff's young daughter, ad lib fictional radio (this one was great for Kuma-chan switching from bitch mode to burriko on the spot and the DJCD one involved Takamina trying to hold the incredibly stupid character she came up with for like 20 minutes), bizarre guessing games, etc. They don't pull any punches with the listener submitted opening drama selections either (Kakuma being spotted by a fan and trying to escape, one about Oonishi being jealous of Misaki Kuno, others making fun of Kakuma's "darkness") Lately they've been pretty regularly making fun of Kuma-chan's age too.

Yurusen, has simply no reason.
Yurusen was believed to be, in a way, a more direct partner in battle to ghost, at least thats what her appearance in the drive last episode implied, but now, at episode 35 or so of ghost, she has done as much as a freaking interactive 'how to use your shit' tutorial, and a 'i want to punch her in the face' source or ridiculous smarm that can get away with anything just because she is implied to be in a plane of life higher than other dead people, like the sage.
now maybe that was the writers plan all along, but, when rider partners like professor krim (mr. belt/ belto-san), and ankh exist, you should ask yourself, what da fuck man?
And if i want to bet, the reason should be aoi herself, she's yurusen's main 'selling point' after all, but with all the work she has in other series and animes at the same time (including her probably highly anticipated performance as tsuyu from hero academy), guess anyone should have seen that coming, basically, at least to me, yurusen greatest strength, is also her ultimate weakness.
In resume, search for another va to voice you mascot character, preferably one with not as much work, so the character can have a true reason to be, or don't make that character at all.

Aoi's job doesn't require her to be in the flesh during recording. During Super Hero Matsuri 2016 Aoi said that it was the first time she saw the whole cast in person.
It's not just Yurusen, Ghost just reeks of "meh" and wasted potential in general. The lead writers just aren't used to writing Tokusatsu and it shows.
Aoi was mostly hired for her popularity with otaku and because they know a mascot voiced by her is easy money. The writers just didn't bother to do anything with her character.
By the way, most of Yurusen's lines on Ghost are adlibbed by Aoi, so Aoi probably gives more of a shit than the writers. Not surprising but yeah.

Unless it's a Sony Music and/or Lantis sponsored or related thing she doesn't seem to get much work anymore. Ive noticed the industry really seems to be tightening up around music label affiliation nowadays. No production committee really wants to use people from other music labels anymore and give them free exposure and they want to promote their own labels obviously. Its just part and parcel of the commercialization of anime. I think agencies will besides maybe I'm Enterprise will be obsolete soon and casting will soon revolve entirely around music labels. Its already basically at that point

Its the one area where anime is starting to resemble the old Hollywood studio system where instead of being freelance actors were tied to a specific studio as either leading roles or character actors and that's just who you got when you went to do a movie. Nowadays you get a specific production committee for music and you essentially get the voice cast pretty packaged for your show as a kick in but also obligation. You can sort of see it in Shirobako and the now infamous production committee meeting scene where the staff tries to argue for a really good audition and the production committee is like thats nice but fuck you we're using our own A-lister affiliation for events and popularity reasons. That's why people like Akio Ohtsuka say it's do hard to break into the modern seiyuu industry and get good career starter roles (though arguably there's few of those these days anyway)because talent alone isn't enough or even looks you need the right connections.

Well Avex is the biggest music label in Japan so they probably aren't nearly as threatened as others. Sony of course seems the most anal about very specific casting of affiliated artists and musicians. Theyll still cast unaffiliated people if they're mega popular for obvious reasons but they're just as likely to go with a Sora Amamiya all the same

Yurika Kubo photo shoots are the closest I think any seiyuu has gotten to soft core porn. Riho Iida who paired up with her a lot for Love Live has some pretty racy shoots too but Kubo is the all time champ.

Honestly I think you're overselling it. There are shows that operate that way but there is a lot of independent casting.
Even with Haifuri having forced Try Sail and being full Aniplex/A1/SME the cast is otherwise all over the place with more avex girls than Sony.
Most amusing thing is I never even considered the possibility they actually hired Ayuru Oohashi and not some rookie who sounds like her.

Ikeda Shuuichi (obviously Char). Furuya Tooru (his tragic Casshern was utterly fantastic performance). Yara Yuusaku, Yara Yuusaku. Nakano Yuuto. Ishida Akira, Seki Tomokazu, Yamadera Kouichi. If you want some new talent I would go with Hatanaka Tasuku since he has interesting voice.
