I honestly enjoyed the differences in tone between the routes, the variation was nice, even though I know it was just because the writers made the routes without consulting each other much at all. Some of the inconsistencies between routes could use some smoothing out/explanations but other than that I wouldn't want it to be different.

Michiru got 2 episodes, Sachi got 1, Yumiko got 1 that was completely off the story rails (no turkey toss , never even left the school, just faked her death with a grenade), Makina got 2 and Yuuji killed her bitch mom, Angelic Howl got 3 accurate episodes and an off-rails last one where the club president's crazy dad took all the girls hostage in the school and Yuuji used Sachets savviness, Makina's knowledge of Morse code, and Michiru indestructible skull to set up a crazy difficult sniper shot on the guy.

I'd be really easy for them to not fuck up the anime adaptation, too, if they have enough cours and actually do each route instead of fuckin' making shit up. You can use Moon as a framing device, you can use the Rewrite name as a motif/excuse to rewind and do other routes, etc.

We're getting 'unseen' route. Does this mean terra like or an actual route? Will it be common shenanigans until the last 6 episodes? Will it follow the usual splitting of the group after the forest where a decision must be made?
But hey, at least some characters will finally have models and there will be more varied backgrounds. It could still turn out to be as stupid a battle series as chihayas route or completely off rails like the rest.
I enjoyed reading it, but the message was horribly hamfisted and I didn't agree with it. Whilst the battle aspect was clunky with how uninvolved/under used some agencies, militarizes etc became when shit hit the fan in either routes or terra.
5/10 VN may be worth your time if you like battle VNs?

By how it sounds, you're just criticizing the fact that you didn't like the shounen aspects of a VN for all ages, and how this delivered a message,
which I think was pretty clear in the Moon route; the most transcendent decisions are the ones coming from a heart filled with hope.

The scale for me is more about the fact aspects were clearly rushed and missing. The plot holes in certain routes. If anything I wanted more, more time to elaborate on the world and characters because it tried to present 'reality' (the politics, enforcement agencies, cults etc).
It's been over 2 years since I read it to be honest and I don't have a list of grievances in clear memory to complain about in full. Just that it could have been far better if it wasn't as rushed as it was.
