No wit, no intelligence, no grace, she's a completely different character. And the plot itself seems teeth-grittingly generic as well.

To be honest, I've never really understood the point of AU fics where the personalities of the characters are completely different. What's the point of creating a story centered around Ilya and making her absolutely nothing like Ilya?
